On August 9th Consonus Music Institute clinicians Mike Christiansen and Abe Lagrimas, Jr. traveled to Springfield Massachusetts to be part of a new event that may be coming to your community in the future.
Final Concert
The event was a 2 day music workshop sponsored by the Hard Rock Café and the Fender Music Foundation that brings together local music educators, CMI clinicians, touring pro-musicians and K-12 community music students in a format that was fun, rewarding, and educational for all involved.
Clinics were for beginning through advanced guitarists, bassists, percussionists, vocalists, and others. Mike and Abe mentored the guitar ensemble and percussionists respectively. The CMI blended learning curriculum allowed the guitar students to get the most out of the limited instruction time . The event culminated with a one hour concert for the community featuring amazing performances by the student groups
